Contributing to the new ISO ECM Standards with 3D PDF Consortium

I'm very proud to announce a new collaboration with 3D PDF Consortium, I'm a member of two committees focused on developing the new international ECM Standards. The goal of these groups is to work together on the new ISO standards defining best practices for the entire Enterprise Content Management area.

Where everything started

During the last three years I contributed in the AIIM community for reviewing some of the new ECM Toolkits. The ECM Program Strategy is one of the main paths that anyone should adopt in his own team for managing ECM projects.

I have initially replied to the invitation shared in the AIIM forums by Betsy Fanning and then I started to collaborate as a reviewer. These white papers contains strategic hints to consider when you start from scratch or when you need to migrate the current platforms to another one for federation purpose.

My new contribution journey towards ISO

Now I'm excited to start this new journey focused on improving the material related to the entire ECM and Content Services area. I'll try to bring my experience gained by working in the Open Source field to improve the current toolkits, white papers and standards at ISO.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the well known network of experts focused on developing and publishing international standards for different industries, technologies and knowledge areas.

The main goal of this work is to share the overall experience of all the members to make easier for everyone to approach in the best possible way any ECM project. This will help you to define milestones, KPIs, requirements and the overall vision of your project.

ECM / Content Services Standards

I have just started to collaborate with my new mates at 3D PDF Consortium in the following working groups:

I would like to thank Betsy Fanning and Robert Blatt for this exclusive and important opportunity to contribute in the new international standards.
